Playa La Barqueta is a hidden treasure on the Pacific Coast of Panama a little over an hour from the Costa Rican border. The area is perfect for buyers looking for a quiet, secluded beach, but still close to David and all the shopping an amenities a person needs for a comfortable life.
Playa La Barqueta has 15 miles of pristine beaches where you can walk for miles and only see a handful of people at any given time. The community has a beautiful beachside hotel and restaurant, two local fonda’s on the beach and the towns of Guaramal and Alanje are just 15 minutes with local markets, fondas, hardwares providing essential supplies when residents don’t want to go to David.
The local residents in Playa La Barqueta have social events, ladies bunco, poker nights, community beach cookouts, and special celebrations together on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other U.S., Canadian, and Panamanian holidays. There is fishing, kayaking, horse back riding, bicycling, and so much more. While the community is known for the spectacular sunsets, quiet, peaceful lifestyle, and a socially active community, nearby David offers supermarkets, warehouse stores, movie theaters, a great variety of dining, pickelball, a sports stadium and most everything you need for your comfort and convienence. La Barqueta and Las Olas Beach Resort are about 25 minutes from David and 1 hour from Boquete.
